Impact Stories from Our Neighbors
Helping our neighbors is our ultimate goal. We want to help them overcome barriers, insecurities, and life obstacles. Here are a few featured stories from neighbors we have helped.
I have been here for 25 years, and this organization is the first of it’s kind, and has had a huge positive impact for this very rural community. The food deliveries are vital to people’s livelihoods. Along with the additional information in local available resources, job opportunities, transportation services, and assistance in hurricane relief. This organization has an amazing staff and volunteers that truly care. Thank you so very much!

After 12 years of isolation, I met both Miss Jill and Miss Susan. At this point in my life, I had no shoes, barely any clothing, no medications, and a faltering will to continue on. They encouraged me to start a new journey in life by seeking help to deal with my problems. They help us with food, some of our bills, my medications and help me get to my mental health appointments. If I said that I wasn’t overwhelmed by the way they’ve impacted my life, I wouldn’t be telling the truth. My sisters and I recently lost our mother, and even though Miss Jill and Miss Susan are not related to us, they feel like family. Each has filled a void left in our hearts, and both Miss Jill and Miss Susan will forever have my love, admiration, respect and gratitude.

[Hometown Outreach] has been great. All I have is a motorcycle. So, it’s impossible for me to get food from distributions. Your organization helps tremendously.
